the floating band

Filed under: Doodling — TCA @ 6:31 am

Rockin The Seas is touted as the “floating festival of a lifetime.” The Tubes, Camper Van Beethoven and Cracker will perform live music on a cruise ship sailing from L.A. to Ensenada, Mexico and back this February 16-17.

Why do I seemingly always find out about events too late to attend them? It’s too late for me to obtain a U.S. passport–which is now mandatory. Pathetic.

Did I forget to mention that I have an inner ear condition? Loud noise causes dizziness and vomiting. I’d be really pissed off now otherwise.

Ironically, I’ve never been seasick.

Mooninites in Moosylvania

UPDATE: This evening I made changes to the item below about the recent arrest of two artists in Boston.

“Past is prologue” – William Shakespeare

Wikipedia says that Jay Ward–the creator of Rocky & Bullwinkle–and his publicist “crossed the country in a circus wagon, gathering signatures on a petition for statehood for Moosylvania. They then visited Washington, D.C. and attempted to gain an audience with President John F. Kennedy. Unfortunately, they arrived at the White House just at the time of the Cuban Missile Crisis and were escorted off the grounds at gunpoint.”

You can make comments from now on. I’ll be moderating ’em. So expect a 24 hour delay before your comment is published. More or less.

I’m sorry to be a censor. But I’ve seen some really sick stuff online. Not to mention spam. I don’t want it here.
